Hazardous items accepted day of Clean up include: Antifreeze, car wax, contaminated oil, gasoline, motor oil, transmission fluid, deck stains, preservatives, lead base paint, oil base paint, strippers, varnish, sealers, insect repellants, insect foggers, pesticides, fungucides, cleaning solvents, floor polish, furniture polish, removers, dry cleaning solutions, lighter fluids, nail polish remover, nail polish, mercury thermometers, flourescent light bulbs, brake fluid, diesel fuel and fuel oil, kerosene, oil/gas mixtures, artist paints, epoxy, glues, thinners, turpentine, solvents, fertilizers, mouse poison, herbicides, naval jelly, oven cleaner, metal polish, rust removers, batteries, moth balls, pool chemicals, latex paint (not considered hazardous material, but will accept), many other miscellaneous items. If you have any unknown items that may be rusted or without a label, please bring to site and product will be taken.
Hazardous items that are questionable (please call contacts listed below): ammunition or explosives.
Hazardous itmes that are unacceptable: smoke detectors (contain radioactive materials, should be sent back to manufacturer), fire extinguishers.
NO limit for computers or computer components ($1.00 maximum charge for all computers and components per person), tv's ($1.00 charge per tv) and any other electronic devices (maximum $1.00 charge per device or check with attendant), but individual must drop off at the Recycling Center day of clean up at the Recycling Center, 904 Island Lake Road.
