The beautiful Rapid River and Rugg Pond provide quality trout fishing opportunities; Leetsville ORV Trail is well marked; lots of state land for hunting, hiking, mushrooming, etc. The township has basically a rural atmosphere with zoned agricultural, forest recreational, commercial and light industrial areas.

The township provides mowing and regular maintenance of the two cemeteries, Maple Grove on Wood Road and Westwood.

The US-131 corridor supports a number of businesses including oilfield related suppliers, light industrial manufacturing, convenience stores, campground, motel and specialty shops.

Regular meetings are held the third Tuesday. They begin at 7 pm.

Register to vote!!!!! Call Clerk, Valerie Hansen, for details. Tuesday, November 4 is Presidential Election Day. Polls open 7am to 8 pm. Applications for absentee ballots are available. Last day to register is Monday, October 6.

FALL CLEANUP: Thursday, Friday and Saturday. October 16, 17 and 18. Have all things at curbside by 6am Thursday. Flyers will be mailed. Check for the NEW changes.
