WHAT IS A VICTIM ADVOCATE
Advocates offer victims information, emotional support, and help with finding resources needed. They also help them to understand the process. A form is sent to the victim to fill out to let the court know how the victim feels about the case (Impact Statement). Victims can contact the Victim Advocate with any questions they have. They also go to court with the victim as needed. We notify the victim of court dates and keep them updated on the progress of the case.
